A question we are often asked is, “How did you know you were called to Africa?” We’re also asked, “How do you know what to do when faced with a situation?”

Knowing what God has called us to do or what decision to make can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. The longer we live for God and the more time we spend with Him, the easier it becomes to hear Him when He speaks.

It’s not always easy to wait for God to speak. In moments of impatience, it can be tempting to follow the paths we create ourselves. This is like walking in the dark, hoping we won’t stub our toes on a piece of furniture.

Be patient. When the time is right, you will hear Him speak.

Updates & Prayer Requests

Pretoria, South Africa: we are currently negotiating for a small facility to begin the church by holding cell group meetings. If all goes well, we will take possession on June 1.

Lusaka, Zambia, building update: We have nearly completed the construction of the main church in Lusaka. We planted the church in 2001, and it has been meeting in temporary facilities of one kind or another since then. In July, we will return to Lusaka to dedicate the main building and hold a series of special meetings. Please pray for all needs to be met and for the final details to come together for this time of celebration.

Anna’s House in Gatumba, Burundi, is now in our possession. We are finalizing the paperwork and initiating the renovations. Pray for us as we embark on this new branch of ministry. Pray for wisdom and provision.

The 2025 Spring Fundraiser for student scholarships and school needs is nearing its end, with the funding period almost over. By God’s grace, all 40 scholarships have been funded! We still have a few outstanding goals. Pray with us for their fulfillment.

Personal news: Andreya is finishing 11th grade and will soon begin 12th grade. Please pray with us for her ongoing education and for God’s will regarding her future.
